![]() Simply unscrew your existing mount, and thread the Key-Mo on. It is also compatible with any other suppressor matching the 1.375x24 thread pitch. KEYMO ADAPTER SERIESSo the suppressor would have to go back if it is an issue. Product Description The Key-Mo O Mount by Dead Air is a quick attach mount designed to run on the Dead Air Nomad-30, Primal, and comes welded to the Sandman series of suppressors. The threads in the back of the nomad were cut with class 3 threads. Is it the suppressor or the keymo the issue? I have two nomads and one keymo works fine and the other does not thread in. Anyway, we can smooth these out same day we receive a can in and then get it back on it's way. This is why we shy away from class 3 on everything. The weird thing about threads is that one that's cut on the max side of a tolerance many not always fit in another at max-even though both are technically in spec. I am responsible for obeying all applicable enforcement mechanisms, including, but not limited to federal, state, municipal, and tribal statutes, rules. It's not what we called out, but because the direct thread inserts were on the min side, they all went in fine. For example, gunsmiths like to cut barrel threads to this spec, but suppressors don't always like to thread onto them. Especially with nitride salts/oxides in the mating threads. That's the higher tolerance UNS thread spec and a lot of threads don't play well with it. Out of the many thousands of Nomads that have gone out this year there were a handful that were cut with a class 3 thread on the back end. Watching the videos it seems like they use so little effort to put it on and take it off. No directions with the keymo system to explain how make it tighter which I had to figure out watching a youtube video and it was a PIA to push the spring down (maybe include a tool to do this). Overall I give the system a 4/10 so far, I didn't have any issues or frustration with using YHMs QD system. Requires a lot of force to tighten and remove from the gun, which worries me since if its hot I may have to wait for them to fully cool, where as my YHM I can use an oven mitt to take it off easily. Already scratched my suppressor with the tool trying to take it off as when you place it on it requires a lot of force to tighten onto the gun which tightens the keymo to nomad connection.Ĭoming from YHM and their QD system, so far I am not impressed with the keymo system. The RMA Keymo is doing what you describe, it wont thread into Nomad Ti or Nomad L, but I have one keymo that does thread onto both easily. One of the two would not even twist or move around and was locked stuck so I couldn't place it onto muzzle break, I sent this back for RMA and maybe 2 weeks later had a new Keymo. I purchased 2 keymo adapters from Dead airs website before my Nomad's were out of jail. Shooters can now enjoy advanced weapon control with the ability to mount the Dead Air Wolfman KEYMO silencer to their firearms. When you need parts that just work without complication, you need Forward Controls Design.Yes, I am kind of upset/ worried about the keymo system. Not content to produce purely aesthetic components, they put function before form to create parts and accessories that actually improve the handling and function of your firearms. Simple, clean, and effective, the 6315 is an excellent option for your next AR-15 build.įorward Controls Design firmly believes in the elegance of simplicity. The impressive suppression capabilities combined with the lightweight and small design are proof that larger muzzle devices aren't necessarily better. By shortening and narrowing the side ports, muzzle rise reduction has improved and the increased real estate at the muzzle end has allowed the inclusion of wire cutter notches at 3 and 9 o'clock positions. The effective design of the 6315 draws inspiration from the muzzle device found on Stoner 63 -itself an improvement on the A2 flash hider - but modernized and tweaked for superior performance. Compatible with DeadAir KeyMo Suppressors.A slick nitride finish protects it from corrosion to give you a long lasting and durable option for your rifle. Machined from incredibly durable 4130 bar stock steel, the effective flash hider provides a noticeable improvement on the traditional A2 flash hider in both flash suppression and muzzle rise compensation, without increasing muzzle blast. Effective flash suppression, reduced muzzle rise, an integrated wire cutter feature, and a slick, no frills design come together in the 6315. ![]()
